AUGAÐ / THE EYE

The eye sees and witnesses and therefore has become a symbol of protection in many cultures.
To see and perceive offers the ability to understand so the eye can also stand for higher
understanding and to realize truth.
The teardrop is the eye‘s companion and it‘s simplest meaning is sorrow. A weeping eye can
also represent compassion or the awareness of suffering.
